The Conquest STAR UCITS Fund is advised by Conquest Capital Group LLC (“Conquest”), a New York-based alternative asset management firm that has developed and managed systematic tactical trading strategies in the macro space for over 15 years. Founder and Portfolio Manager, Marc Malek has over 25 years of trading experience, both quantitative and discretionary.  The 4-member research team has worked together for more than 13 years.

Conquest measures global market data to inform 300+ proprietary models that have been developed over the last 17 years.  Conquest’s research-driven approach has led to the creation of the Conquest Risk Aversion Index which informs a family of models designed to respond to changes in the market’s risk regime, identified as either “risk-seeking” or “risk-aversion.”

Conquest’s research indicates that the market is 70% “risk-seeking” and 30% “risk-averse” historically. However, this measurement has skewed closer towards 90% “risk-seeking” most recently, indicating a reversion to previous risk levels may soon occur.

The Conquest STAR UCITS Fund is a systematic absolute return trading strategy focused on capturing independent alpha from short-term trading opportunities regardless of the risk environment in both “risk-seeking” and “risk-averse” regimes. The fund employs 4 sub-strategies using a dynamic risk allocation based on the Conquest Risk Aversion Index. The Conquest STAR UCITS Fund “all-weather” offering provides geographic and asset class diversification by trading in over 30 liquid global futures markets including currencies, equity indices, and fixed income with no correlation to traditional portfolios, hedge fund portfolios, and CTA portfolios.
